Now I've seen it all. It not an SS vs Z28 stupid arguement its hardtop vs t-top. You really have to be in sad shape to post this crap. No one around you to argue with over stupidity? Have they all just said stuff it? What is the actual weight difference? Both cars need SFC's not just t-tops. You want to think of hairy middle aged men you go right ahead, but please keep your issues to yourself as far as that goes. People choose what they choose becasue they like it not because they are trying to impress you. Yea my t-top is slow and handles like crap, I dont even know how I drive it. opinions are like, well like you.

Wow man. All I can (politely) say is wow. What the hell is up with the rabid personal attack? I think I made a pretty low-key (not to mention obviously correct) statement. I didn't bash T-tops. I OWN two T-top cars buddy. I think a few of us in this thread were just pointing out that from a purely performance standpoint, a hardtop has a little edge.

I think anyone who reads this thread will determine which poster clearly has some issues.

Perhaps you really wanted to respond to some other posters in this thread?

Boys, boys, boys....this is just good natured BS. Nothing personal. Your sex habits, gender preference and love of t-tops is your business. Who cares if young boys like to ride in t-top cars?

Now, if you think the above is serious go take a chill pill. Now!
Actually my biggest problem with t-tops around here is the sun beats down on your head during the summer when the day time high is about 400 degrees.....in the shade!

But, a real man ditches the A/C and goes with the hardtop.

All I can say is when you want to build a real racecar the pro's don't start with a t-top car. Hardtops are stiffer, lighter and don't have tendecy to leak those are the facts. That is why I ordered mine a ht. Other than that it's preference not opinoin. Not that there is a dramatic difference though.

Soo if your ricer is a hard top yer a real man ? or are you real rice ? I am confused..
The Enemy gentlemen is that way ..( points to some overly obvious rice) not your brothers.. I wont even be offended if some neanderthal with far too much red meat in his diet feels his hard top is superior to my car for the simple fact that mine is spacious and open, all I can say is chick's dig em.. Rag top z06 preferrably, TTop Fbody second but dayumn its all better then sitting in a Racecraft Fox body or some low slung skittle no ?

That's pretty much my point. There are 9 second T-top cars, but if I was going to build a track car... I'd start out with a hardtop. Small difference, but it makes sense to start with a hardtop from a purely performance viewpoint.

I think the guy above who seemed to get all bent musta got up and forgot to take his meds that day.

OK gents, let's call a spade a spade. If you drive anything but a hardtop you just might be a girlie boy, a gender bender, a closet ricer or blue oval boy, commie, alien, former Jerry Springer performer or maybe just plain stoopid!!

That about wraps this one up.

man, a lot of idiotic replies in this one! I prefer T-top cars for daily-drivers, it makes the cabin feel less cramped and opened up. Convertibles are still better though
