Default how much is it worth ?
i may have the possibility to buy a loaded 2002 som ss 6 speed car with low miles. with a clean title. only catch is it doesnt have a motor or tranny or wireharness or pcm.

how much would you guys pay for it.

Honestly, it's hard to say. From all my time spent playing with cars, I have found it's best to just buy something that is complete. Sorry, I know that dosn't help.

$1000 or $2000 ? Is that the asking price? If so I would definately pick it up. Although it sounds like a salvage situation.

If the body is in great condition and the interior is perfect. You should be taken that thing home at $2,000. I have a feeling that you are only thinkin you can buy it for that!!

The body less motor trans and PCM is still worth around $6,000.

Just my opinion. If you can get it for $2,000 and don't won't to buy the car let me know I will take it.

Depends on how cheap it is. To replace the parts you are looking at $10K, unless you get a take out motor from someone. It would be a great start for a project. Start with a forged shortblock $4K, AFR heads $2K, Clutch, flywheel etc., $1K, Built tranny $2k (no core?) PCM & wiring harness $1K, Headers back exhaust $2K, 12 bolt or 9" rear $3k. $3k in msc., accessories and mounting hardware.

I vote buy it cheap and then build it up. No sense in paying for a motor/tranny that you are going to replace anyways.

A loaded 2002 SS SOM without motor and tranny for $2000? If the body, interior and paint are in good shape, quit reading this right now, and go get the thing. Tell the truth - did you have to hold a gun to the seller's head to get that price? Heck, the hood, spoiler and wheels are worth almost that much.

That has to be about my favorite F-body.
