SS info Hey guys, i'm new to the boards and just bought a 2000 SS. I'm just curious if you guys could point me in the right direction for info on them such as options, power output ect. also i was wondering if anyone knew where the thread stating the differences between motors of different years is. sorry if this sounds like noob stuff but i have been into thirdgen for the last 5 years and want to learn just as much about this car. any help appriciated thanks.
The 98-02 all came with a stock rating of 305hp (325hp on SS an WS6). Also the 01 an 02's had the LS6 intake an a different cam with allows them to dyno higher stock vs the 98-00. You can check your SLP options by looking in the passenger door jam should be a sticker stating all options. The only stock apperence difference in the years is the side mirrors 98 an 99 all colors had black mirrors an 00-02 were body colored keyed. Tell us about the car or post some pics. thanks for the info guys that was a way big help. my car, like i said, is a 2000 ss. Its silver, has t tops, black leather interior, A4. I am currently in the process of rebuilding it. it was parked in a building when the building caught fire and just about everything that could melt on the driverside rear did but don't worry the interior is back to original and i am in the body work phase.
