Re: Turbo T/A ? I took one down to small pieces, removed the offending powerplant, installed a 461 BBC with BW 4-spd and nobody complained about it, not even my 'pure Pontiac' buddies... <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

Re: Turbo T/A ? My friend has a 81 Turbo, might be a 80, but I am pretty sure it is a 81 Turbo FORMULA. He wants to move it. Nice original rust free car. Email me if you want more info. It is a RARE car.

Re: Turbo T/A ? I am sure it can be modified but probably wouldn't be worth the time or hassle to build that motor. From what I have heard the after market never really took to these cars because it was the economy model. They mainly put out stuff for the 400 and other high output motors. I am sure you could slap a bigger turbo on there and turn up the boast <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> but I hear that the intake manifold is very restricive and the heads aren't so great either.

Re: Turbo T/A ? I knew a guy who bought one new many years ago. I think it went about 50k before the turbo let go. Some sort of oiling problem if I recall. Now the 89 TTA's are a different story <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
