special fbody? only 7 made? I had someone telling me that they know a person with a fbody and there was only 7 of them made.
I was curious if anyone knew of this. Then they said that the person took this special edition fbody and painted it with that color changing paint. <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />
I think I would like to call <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> Help me out here guys

Re: special fbody? only 7 made? You can take the "One of -" too far. There are quite a few rare F-Bodies out there. The ones to watch for would be 1LEs, the CEs and anniversery SSs and a few others.
There are folks who like I said take it too far. In my case I could say that I have "One of one".
It's a 2000 Formula Firehawk. There were 741 Firehawks made in 2000. Of those 23 were Formula Coupes, 11 were M6s, two of those M6 Coups were black and mine is the only one optioned "Like mine". See, it's bull crap. Alot of folks go too far into it. Especially the Firehawk owners. I just don't see many "70 Hemi Cuda Convertables" in the newer F-Bodies. There might be a few {a very few} exceptions.
I will agree on the Purple WS6s though, wish like heck I could have bought a Purple WS6 1LE or a Hugger Orange SS 1LE.

Re: special fbody? only 7 made? The purple used on the 98 Firebirds were not a color changing paint. If you have seen the old Mopar purple {as in 70 Plum Crazy Purple}, that's pretty much it except a bit darker.
It's a pretty nice color, very rare also. I heard that GM had some sort of problem with either the paint or the process and they ended it in only one year.
That all might be bunk though, maybe the vast majority of "normal" folks didn't like it. Sorta like there were not many folks back in the 60s and 70s that liked Sub-Lime Green, Plum Crazy Purple, or for that matter Panther Pink. I ain't normal,,,I liked all of them! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: special fbody? only 7 made? I could also do the 1 of 1. I have an 02 formula hawk that is silver and there are only about 10 or so. Mine would be the only one with a GM LS6 engine in it. Formulas in general are rare as is.

Re: special fbody? only 7 made? Thank you for the compliment! I think for rare cars that purple one is very rare. Those pictures above are the only ones I have seen of that color that was an OEM color.

The consensus I've noticed is that not a lot of people like the gold on the Camaro or Firebird, but as for me, I think it looks amazing. I've never seen a gold f-body in person, but from the pictures I've seen

Yhere is a Gold TA that seems to make the Bristol Bash about every year. I'm pretty sure it's the same guy every year as it's always got the same wheels and tires {slicks} and he runs it each time. That's the only gold TA I've seen.

Re: special fbody? only 7 made? Look in sig for my rarity. Most people say im a moron or other choice words for doing what im doing with it, but im having a ball and u only live once. But i do have ALL stock parts and everything ive done is revesable with a little work. I also never cut or hacked up my stock stuff i always bought spares to hack.
