A buddy of mine bought a set of white rims from that guy when I lived in FL. When he went to get them he saw the car and said it was absolutely beautiful. The wheels that he got werent mag so I assume it was just a spare set of powdercoated ws6 rims he was driving around on.

none of those could ever be applied to a CETA or any Fbody for that matter...they are all sweet cars.

Hmmm. I saw this in person as well in 1999 when it was on tour. It was at Norwalk Raceway. I only snapped two pics though.

Now, after following the link from the eBay auction, I got to this page. -->

Any ideas on why the Michigan Manufacturers Plate would be changed on the car?

1 of two reasons the car is no longer owned by GM, and or the guy who owns the car took them off and put them away for safe keeping. Plus if he wanted to drive it on the street it needs to be re-registered under his name and not GM.
My buddy who purchased a 2000 Pewter SS Vert from GM (car was on the Legends Tour) the plate was still on the car when he brought it back to Orlando. Not sure if he had to send it back or he kept it and has it for display.
