alright well i posted in another post about starting my own registry of NHRA cars on this site, PM me if you wanna be include...what i have so far is pretty much nothing, but i guess trying cant hurt...the reason i would like to do this is because i see soo many people asking about how many were made and what colors options and so on, so hopefully this will help

The NHRA Special Edition was a commemorative edition offered from 2000 to 2002. It was created to help celebrate Pontiac’s major sponsorship of the National Hot Road Association (NHRA) which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2001.

The NHRA Edition package cost around 1k, it added a 3.23 A4 or a 3.42 Hurst M6 rear end, power steering cooler, P245/50ZR16 tires, badges and a keychain produced by Morgan Design Group. The only colors that were available with the 1SH option code were red, white, pewter, and black.

as i get more PM's i will more than like add breakdown numbers as far as color, ta/formula, a4/m6 and so on.

they are out there, just be patient there werent that many of these cars made 2002 (534 total) i know they were made 2000 & 2001 as well but not in great quanities either. And more and more of them get discovered every day as i have heard of many being bought or sold w/o the emblems on them. One day.....

Oh man, way back on the old LS1.com, there was an NHRA section, and a guy who created an NHRA website with a registry. He had a ton of information on the cars, unfortunately due to lack of support he eventually closed down the site. Can't remember the guys name, been about 3 or 4 years now. All I remember is there were 143 made in '01, just over 100 in '00, and 500-somethign in '02.

Anyways is it ok if I post my information on here instead of PM?

Hey! Got one of those 20-something PMs.

Mine is currently without the badging since the owner before me decided to go for the "clean" look like some ricer. When I got it knew it was a Formula, so I put red Formula emblems and vinyls on it.

However, upon getting my printout (read:Novel) from Pontiac Historic Services....i realized I had a NHRA. So, now I am questing to try and get those badges from the people who made them, though $169+ is quite a stab in the wallet for some plastic badges.

Anyways, rant over here are the specs:

2000 NHRA Formula

I just got my NHRA Formula 4 months ago. Mine is a black hard top 6 speed and pretty much all stock. From what I understand, there were only 97 NHRA Formulas made in 2000. She has a few miles on her but she looks great. I just got it out of the body shop. This lady rear ended me. It did minor damage, but i got a new bumper out of it. The badges do get some looks from other F body drivers. I live in Louisville, KY.

You can put ttop for all the trans ams, as that was the only choice. Formulas could be either hardtop or ttop.
