Default SLP 345hp SS

My buddy just bought an 02 SS and it has the center exhaust and blackwing airbox, I didnt know if this was just a normal SS or if it could be a 345 package, what all do those cars come with thats different?

pm dave hamburger with the vin# on special edition vehicles and he will let you know the build# and if its the 345hp package.there should be a sticker on the inside of the passanger door that will also tell you.

First if it's an SS it would have WU8 on the RPO sticker. Next it would have Y2Y on there as well for any SLP options. If it has the Y2Y, then there is a second sticker exclusive with those options listed. The 345HP cars had a Blackwing and CME or Blackwing and a Dual/Dual exhaust.

Just sold an 02 SLP SS.
Check the passangers door for and SLP option sticker.

If NO sticker = Beware.

Ill check the vin and the codes, but he has the gloss ss grille, strut tower brace, lowered i think an inch, the center exhaust, blackwing lid, and some other stuff..he said all of this was in the book i didnt really pay attention..sounds like its more rare than we thought lol

no stickers dont mean anything, just call SLP with the vin and they will tell you what they installed on the car & the nunber of the car, if you dont already know, then call any GM dealer and they will tell you every warranty repair that they performed.

i got a bunch of SLP options,

345 hp package, Bilstein/eibach lowered suspension, hurst, chrome 10 spokes, SLP SS grill, and a couple other small things, the owner before me add over $6000 in SLP options on top of a stickered & 31,000!!!
i havnt got a chace to run her at the dyno yet but soon i hope to see if this 345hp is true/close to what GM states.

If it has the Blackwing lid, it probably is a 345 package. If it is there shoudl be an SLP options sticker on the inside of the passenger side dooe. It will say 345hp package. The package was only a Blackwing lid & cat-back exhaust. As said above either a CME or Dual/dual

He didn't say the 345HP option was $6K - that is what ALL THE OPTIONS from SLP TOTALED

The Bilstein suspension option was around $1800
The SS Grill was around $250
The Chrome 10-Spokes were around $1000
and so on

My 2002 Camaro SS Convertible, with all of the SLP options I ordered, stickered for OVER $40K (I didn't pay anywhere near that much)

I still think the SLP 345hp option is a joke. That's just my opinion..Mine came with 25 less hp & I am dynoing the same, Just a selling gimmick by SLP.

Fine, you think the SLP 345HP option is a joke - then how come the first mods that everybody usually does is lid and catback? Because they DON'T WORK??? That's all that option is/was - lid and catback. Bone-stock, on Speed Inc's dyno, mine put down 320HP & 340TQ - what did you dyno stock?
