Did SS raise level of pride?
There's only one WS6. I'd have never bought my Trans Am if it wasn't. Eating your firstborn!
normal people DONT KNOW about that stuff.......thats the point i was making. and thats WHY people recognize SS more then WS6.
just another useless trivia factoid to cram in your brain. "SS" stood for "SS" according to Chevy.
Now that i have the SS I find myself lookinf for random SS memorabilia. Head plate, dash plate, rear mat, etc. I make sure it is Always emaculate on the inside. Little i can do about the outside, it's black. I've even looked into joining the SSOA.
My level of Pride for owning a Camaro seems to have gone up. All this and all that i changed was the hood and wing
Did this happen to anyone else?

if they dont know i explain it to them, but i hate ignorant people. i was asked to drive the hawk in a parade not this past summer, but the summer before. i was a few cars behind a clean lt1 vette and i hear some hillbilly say "that vette would smoke your little pos firebird"....im thinkin wtf man id love to get out and beat your *** but 1-was that really necessary? and 2-are you so sure about that? 3-i dont even know, i hate stupid ignorant people and i have talked to the owner of the vette, its just got some appearance mods, everything else is stock

Brutal, nobody even noticed your car, they are all looking at something else

Yes, the SS and higher trim levels of these cars are more special. Pride of ownership does go up a bit when you own an SS vs Z28. What is sad about that fact is that the first generation Z28s are considered better than the SS Camaro.
I have a regular Trans Am, non WS6, i love it to death, because im pretty sure its really going to be the "LAST OF THE BREED", when i mention it to my friends who know a LITTLE about cars, they do in fact ask if its a WS6( i am surprised that they know ) The people that do know a little about the bird and its WS6, consider it more of a legendary handling package.
The SS Moniker used to and should of always been relegated to 3 mentions, Camaro V8, Monte Carlo V8 (well theres the Z34 lol) and the Impala V8. These days, around my college especially, A LOT of people drive the non super charged SS Cobalts...its a real shame, a few Supercherged(SC SS) versions as well as the Impala SC and Monte SC. While the Super Charged versions of the IMP and Monte where cool, they did not really deserve the SS badge...nor does the SC Cobalt (Turbo Maybe) i feel that those cars kinda slowed down the SS name....
Here's a REALLY odd note, i really thought GM was going to ruin the Z28 name with the Z24 Cavalier, Z26 Beretta( i liked it) and the Z34 cars.
