Opps yeah. I had to turn up the brightness on my computer to see it wasn't a high rise spoiler.

The hugger SS convertible hurts my feelings the most. If you can, try and buy the title for that car, along with booth doors (have build stickers and SLP decals on the inside) as well as keep the VIN tag on the dash.

In 20-30 years, that VIN tag, doors, and title could be used to restore another car back into the SS. You should see what '67 and '69 SS 396 and Z28 cowl tags, vin plates, and titles sell for now. Some are worth $20-30K

I have revived about 5 of these now. It is a shame some of these cars get salvage titles when the damage is so minor....others deserve it though

I'm almost wondering if there's any good parts available from that BPM Formula / Firebird.

Well at least they all went out with one hell of a glorious bang. Most had to be somewhere near WOT when the grim reaper came to visit.

Those pics are crazy. That last red T/A is devastating! They all made me think of the people just like us driving them and having fun with their cars. I hope they all lived, and have recovered. From the looks of some of those cars I don't know.

Some of those pictures make me wonder if the occupants even survived! BTW I thought build numbers for the HOSS convert were 2 or was that just for the white interior and white top?

This kind of stuff makes me sad. There will always be those kind of people who are like who cares, guess I'm not one of them.

Yeah, it's bad to see great cars destroyed like that, but then you think of the people who were in those accidents ... the severe injuries and even deaths that may have occurred ... and the cars seem rather insignificant.

Yeah, there's a few less F-bodies and bodies period on the road. What are you gonna do. I saw a 89 GTA in a local junkyard a few years ago. Everything on the car was totaled except the taillights. There wasn't a panel on the car that hadn't been crunched. It looked like someone rolled it at about 100mph. Somehow, the taillights survived and went home with me. They have a good home now.

Here are a few pics from my "fallen birds" collection of photos.

The next one is not a wreck but almost worse than that. This was a stolen N.O. area CETA that was located in an isolated area. Completely stripped to the bone!

The worst for last.

These are the remnants of a CETA vert. The driver and his brother(in a Porsche) were racing on the interstate at over 100 mph when he lost control and went sideways into a lightpole, severing the car in two and throwing him from the wreckage. The brother had no idea that the accident happened as he was in the lead and didn't find out until later.
The front of the car:

The driver did not survive.

that sucks. whereas the chances of losing yourself and your fbody in a fatal tragedy are slim, seeing stuff like kills the thrill for me.
