Dude, look at my window sticker a few posts up and you can CLEARLY see my 01' SS option did not inclue Hurst. You can see they charged me $325 for the worthless shifter.

SS upgrade included the 275's too. The Z's had 245's. All SS autos were 3.23 rears.
I bought mine new and have always been glad I went with the SS. Well worth it in my opinion.
All fourth gen SS's were SLP conversions, with the exception being Berger's given permission to build a limited number of cars.

the ss is nothing more then a Z28 with a hood, spoiler, and rims!(unlees the SLP options were ordered) if im not mistaken not all SS cars came with the Hurst, but all the SS cars had a power steering cooler. correct me if im wrong but i think the Z28's are a little lighter in weight then the SS

Wrong. EVERY SS came with a better flowing exhaust (some even had the SLP exhaust), upgrade suspension, and gearing diffenences i believe in the Autos. Not to mention the 17x9.5 wheels (chrome or silver) with 275s, the hood, spoiler, badges, etc.
Lucky guys even got the Center Mount Exhaust, which can sell an SS almost as fast as the hood/spoiler.
BTW, my NBM paint looks damn good. Still.
