Default Cost of SS option?

Does anyone remember how much the SS package was in 2002?

Was it the SLP package that was $6,000.00 more than the regular Z28?

SS's didn't become SS's until they got to SLP.

Thats not exactly true! The 96 SS was produced by GM then in 97 SS started to add on the options making them an SS.

sounds right to me, they got hood spoiler wheels supposedly better tuned suspension and suposed better flowing exhaust and intake (although most people agree its really no better than a z), i beleive they all got the hurst short shifter as well, really i thought 3600 sounded like a pretty fair price to me

The 3625.00 equals prestige... and 1LE swaybars. better tuned suspension and fiberglass hood and spoiler... and a different muffler. Worth it in my opinion. And I got mine used for about the same price as a similarly optioned Z28 with similar miles. I cant complain. Plus they look WAAAAY better than a Z28... the hoods are just way to plain on the Z's...

the ss is nothing more then a Z28 with a hood, spoiler, and rims!(unlees the SLP options were ordered) if im not mistaken not all SS cars came with the Hurst, but all the SS cars had a power steering cooler. correct me if im wrong but i think the Z28's are a little lighter in weight then the SS

Hurst short throw was a option for an extra $325.
