1LE WS6 formula This seems to be a rare interesting car. I have never heard of these before I saw this....http://detroit.craigslist.org/car/556773531.html
That's Mike West's car,beautiful example.Love hate deal with these 4th gen GM 1LE's- love them for the rarity hate them because 99% of the people are clueless about them and think they are just stripper models hence poor resale..
One of the former editors of Vette Magazine, Bob Wallace (I think) has one. My dad went to California to pick up a car from them. He got to see some toys, including his son's nice magnacharged C5 that was a photog for the magazine as well. The magazine axed a project, so he picked up a mid 70's model vette w/ an LS1. It was still in the early stages, but I can't remember what happened to that one.

I know a guy that has one (2nd owner) with 23K on it
He didnt even know what he bought until I told him,he came into my store and was looking for a lid and said,I just bought a RA Forumla H/T and I looked at him with a shocked expression.He then said,it doesnt have any power options so I got it cheap...I was even more shocked and walked outside and there it was a Black WS6 Forumula....I walked over to look at the door sticker and saw it staring me right in the puss,the 1LE option code and said to the guy,do u know what u just bought?
Now he's a got a website,goes to all the shows with it..I bust his chops when I see him and he just laughs,He told me if he ever sells it I get 1st shot
The dealer didnt even know what they had..
I think he paid 22K for it in 2001 with like 5K miles on it...

I love my car with all the options but I'd give it up any day for a 1LE car. I can absolutely see how dealerships have no clue what 1LE cars are. To them it's a car with no options, so get it off the lot!!! That makes for a good buy for somebody.
