New poster to this site thought I would add my car
2002 SS coupe 35th Anniversary pkg. (Z4C)
All factory options, no SLP options
SLP production # 3485 SLP out date 11/8/2001
do not know my LE #
Original owner ordered 8/17/2001 delivered 11/30/2001
I have a copy of the adninistrative message form GM informing dealers the content and price for Z4C was incorrect. My dealer was not happy, I already had a signed contract for $29,239.18 + tax and fees. They tried to get me to pay more and told me they could not sell me the car at that price, they would be loosing money. I started making calls ended up talking to Scott Settlemire, he told me that GM was honoring the price on sold units, the dealership should have known this and would not be loosing money as they claimed. Got my car at my price!! Salesman told me later the dealer had people offering to pay over sticker for my car.

Haha! Sounds very familiar. When I bought mine, the dealer (seemed a little green) thought I was negotiating for the standard 2002 SS, not the LE. When we settled on the price, he realized his error and tried to back out. He didnt realize there was a difference between the 35th anniversary SS and the LE SS (probably b/c all 2002s have the 35th anniv dash plaque). It was an honest mistake on both our parts, but the manager was really cool about it. My family bought a few cars from there, so he was willing to work with me. I wound up getting it for roughly the same price as a standard 2002 SS.
