Default SLP Options from factory?

Alright guys, I know it may be dumb question and it's probably been answered on here many times...but I can't find anywhere that talks about gear options offered for the factory SS Camaros. I'm a newby to the 98-02 camaros...got an 86 Z28 and a 92 Rs. I just bought my 02' SLP SS and was wondering what gear options were availiable in the rear? Any way to find out by the vin#? I'd really appreciate any info.

SLP didn't gear them.

why not look at your RPO sheet on the door.

Alright, thanks for the advice BadGTho. I'll take a look and see what it says. However, I did read that the SLP stage three came with 4.10 in the rear...maybe that was just wrong info I read on the net. Thanks again for the tip.

i've never seen 4.10s... but you could have special ordered 3.73s

if the car was a stage 3 it would have other things as well.

I've never heard of a "stage 3" SLP package. All autos had 3.23 and all M6s were 3.42, for the LS1 cars anyway. You probably read about a GMMG car, which does make a "stage 3" in their Performance Editions. Those get Strange 12-bolt rears I think.

None of this info is correct. They were never offered with 3.73's from the factory or as the SLP cars.

"Stage 3" isn't anything....has no meaning to the fourth-gens.

We didn't offer ratio options, For '02 we did offer the Auburn High Torque Gold Series Differential with Aluminum Cooling Cover.

Sort of, throughout the years we switched back and forth between the Torsen and Auburn.

huh, i would have thought that you would have stuck with the auburn. i noticed a huge difference, the torsen was like glass compared to the auburn. the only part that sucks is the auburn will need rebuilding in its lifetime.

what was the option on the torsen you offered? was it the same as what came in G80's or was it an upgraded posi?
