real SS or not okay, i bought a 1999 pewter camaro ss for 10,000. with 76,000 miles on it. when i was getting the loan out the vin number under the windshield comes up to be a V6, and there is no sticker on the door. so WHATS UP. i had a performance car lot check it out and its the GM ss hood and spoiler, has the ls1 and wiring looks all factory, under the car it says v8 auto on a bracket. is the another ven number anywere
im thinking it might be stolen but thats just a thought, and i asked the guy that had it before me and he said that the previous owner said it was a miss type from factory but its real lol sooo i donno can someone help
Interesting story, I would like to know the outcome so please update. good luck man, don't buy it till you know, but then on the other hand your insurance will think its a V6 and it will be cheaper!

That sucks to hear though Just check you door numbers as listed above and go to a GM dealer and check with them also.
