Default How to copy 30th avn Transam rims

Since there hard to find, ive always looked how they look and my car is also white.

I was planning on doing 25th avn stripe with the blue rims on my transam

Im not going to badge it or anything, but I think it would look great

The rim from what ive heard is polish with a TINTED BLUE CLEAR COAT

Anyone know how to copy this?

I know the wheels are not anodized but I wonder if you could anodize a whole wheel? Costly I bet but would give the same look?

You can order those wheels from GMpartsdirect.com they are a pretty penny but you can be sure that they will be perfect.

Yea, a blue tinted clear powder coat, any reputable coater can match the collor you want.

Anodizing is sensitive to chemicals like wheel cleaners and even tire dressing. Its also trial/error when it comes to matching a collor and very costly.

prepare to have the tint flake off. Ive had mine done twice and now im going on my 3rd time. Yes they were warrantied but its still a pain in the ***. All they do is spray a blue tinted clear over the already chrome rims. Since I have a true 30th, I want to stay with the 30th rims but if I were you, Id buy a nice set of aftermarket wheels. Less hassle.

Any reputable powder coating shop can powder coat them in a translucent/candy blue for you and get the look you are going for...

Here's an example of how this type of powder coating looks:

I took it from Steve's (toofazt/Specialized Stainless) page:
