Done

I would like to know the 78 vs 90 questions. There has got to be more done than just opening up the intake to 90mm to justify $80.
So I went 78 for now and will verify with paul this week if it's the right way to go on stock ci.
Slowhawk I just ordered the 78mm too, but I would also like to here some awnsers on the 78mm vs 90mm on a stock bore h/c set-up.
Paul or Angie, will we be able to change the order if need be ?

Evil, When you order, make a note that you need to find out about the optional nitrous burst panels. I don't have pricing on that yet, but it would be a "must have" option for a direct port kit.

Angie, looks like I'm going to need one of them too. I'm going with the NXL nitrous system on top of my new set up and would like to know what HP/TQ gains you have seen on heads/cam and stroker cars. Thanks!

Good Question.

The normal light grey intake color has to go.

Even just black would be better like the prototype in Popular Hot Rodding.

If it moves me up on the list I will take it in any color including Hot Pink.LOL

We don't need no stinking colors.

I called FAST and they said you CAN get it in any color you want---as long as it is grey.

how much will the 90mm tb's sell for? or do they make an adapter for a 100mm/90mm oval tb? what other differences are there between the 2 versions?

After talking to Thunder I was informed a 90mm is a waste on a 346 motor. Besides, it's going to cost you more than $80 for the 90mm intake...don't forget the Tbody cost easily over $150-$200 I'm sure, you'll need a bigger MAF, and probably a lid with an 85mm opening minimum.

In reality it seems kinda pointless to go for 90mm on a stock motor when you have an 85mm bottleneck at the MAF and Lid. Basically you'd be spending at least an extra $400-$500 for an extra 7mm which probably wouldn't do that much. Save that extra money for AFR heads

Has there been ANY back to back testing against the LS6 intake on a heads/cam car?

No. The one they had there had no gaskets with it, so they were not able to bolt it on to a car. Believe me, if they had one to test with in the last 6 weeks, I think I know whose car it would have been on. Or at least, I woulda bugged the hell out of them until they caved.

But alas, no news yet.
