Default Vortech, ATI, and Maguson sale (kit info within)

We are currently offering discounts on all Vortech, ATI and Magnuson superchargers. This covers the LS1 along with all of the other kits that they produce. Just e-mail tbyrne@tbyrne.com for our current sale price for the system you are looking for. I've included info for some of the systems below -

VORTECH

6# kit with no Aftercooler -

The Vortech LS1 F-Body supercharger system comes with Vortech's new V-9 supercharger. The seamless integration and obvious attention to detail will impress you but wait until you hit the gas pedal. 418 horsepower and 414 ft/lbs of torque can be attained on "ram air" models with unmodified engines! 398 horsepower and 403 ft/lbs of torque can be attained on "non-ram air" models with unmodified engines.

The above info is from Vortech. Generally we see about 100-110hp from the 6# kit.

INCLUDED COMPONENTS for the Vortech (non-Aftercooled) kit are:

V-9 G-Trim supercharger with air assist
SFI approved harmonic damper replaces the factory iron unit
8-rib aluminum crank pulley to drive the supercharger
T-Rex fuel pump assembly with wiring harness
Eight 38 lb/hr replacement fuel injectors
OEM style cast aluminum supercharger mounting bracket
Compressor bypass valve and automatic supercharger belt tensioner
Cast aluminum discharge and air inlet ducting
Oil drain, oil feed
Air discharge and air intake assemblies
Handheld ECM programmer
Tool for modifying oil pan for supercharger drain fitting

9# kit with Aftercooler -

The increased boost level, high output supercharger system, features a fully integrated air to water aftercooler approach to charge cooling. Vortech chose the air to water system primarily because it closely maintains the boost level found at the compressor. 470 horsepower and 462 ft/lbs of torque can be attained on "ram air" models with unmodified engines! 448 horsepower and 449 ft/lbs of torque can be attained on "non-ram air" models with unmodified engines.

Gains from this kit are in the 140-150hp range. Both systems are very complete and come with everything you need right down to the tie wraps.

INCLUDED COMPONENTS for the Vortech/Aftercooler kit are:

V-9 G-Trim supercharger with air assist, SQ gears and 8-rib 2.95" pulley to produce approx. 8-9 psi.
NHRA legal aftermarket steel harmonic damper replaces the factory iron unit.
8-rib aluminum crank pulley to drive the supercharger.

Air/Water aftercooler assembly with pump, wiring, surge tank, reservoir and front mount heat exchanger for effective street operation.
T-Rex® fuel pump assembly with wiring harness.
Eight 38 lb./hr. replacement fuel injectors.
OEM style cast aluminum supercharger mounting bracket.

Automatic supercharger belt tensioner.
Compressor bypass valve
Cast aluminum discharge and air inlet ducting.
Oil drain, oil feed, air discharge and air intake assemblies.
Handheld ECM re-programmer
tool for modifying oil pan for supercharger drain fitting

ATI

ATI SC ProCharger models are the first and only gear-driven centrifugal superchargers to feature self-lubrication. The P-1SC shares many of the design elements which deliver the record-setting durability and performance of ProCharger competition superchargers, and is also quiet and street legal.

The patented SC design eliminates the need for oil lines and punching a hole in the oil pan, thanks to an exclusive oil pump. This pump aerates the oil to create the oil mist lubrication required for the ProCharger’s precision bearings and gears. This oil pump (aeration pump) does not require priming at start-up, and oil changes are required only every 6,000 miles. Additionally, instead of being forced to utilize engine oil or the grease in sealed bearings, SC ProChargers are lubricated with an extremely high quality synthetic oil which is specifically engineered for high speed use.

Running pump gas, the 4# kit is capable of showing you an 80-90hp increase (no other mods required). This kit is complete with everything you need including an FMU and Inline pump (only LS1 kit that includes these).

For people looking for more power the 5# system will step that up to about a 100hp increase. People have run this kit with the stock injectors but I like to set it up with larger injectors, an inline pump and custom programming to be safe. Boost is addicting so most people don't stay with 5# for to long.

Going with the 7# pulley, 42# injectors, highflow fuel pump and custom programming will bring that up a notch to the 140+hp range. The next step is the serpentine race kit with the D-1SC head unit. Horsepower gains of 150+ can be seen with this system. A fuel pump upgrade is recommended with the 5,7 and 8+# kits.

Altitude and mods can affect the amount of boost that you see. A car that is able to breath better (headers, heads, cam ect...) or has a larger cubic inch motor won't see the same boost that a totally stock car will. Horsepower is just a pulley change away so you can go with a smaller pulley to build more boost. If you go with an ATI kit and your car falls into one of the modified catagorys that I list you'll be better off with the D-1SC. This will give you room to grow in the future.

Magnuson has a very nice system available for the 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 trucks -

Magnuson (Radix) - about 130+hp (intercooled)

Magnuson Products, Inc. , manufacturer of superchargers and supercharger systems for foreign and domestic vehicles is pleased to announce the availability of the newly designed, intercooled supercharger system for the 4.8L, 5.3L and the 6.0L Gen. 3 truck engines, including the new H2.
This all-new intercooled supercharger system utilizes the Magna Charger MP112 supercharger with internal bypass valve. Torque and horsepower increases are improved 63%-125% from 2,700 rpm to 5,500 rpm, giving more "power under the curve" than any other supercharger system available. This translates into a 130+hp increase to your rear wheels!

Intercooled systems are complete with all components necessary for installation. Included in the kit is the patented intake manifold (replacing the factory nylon manifold), intercooler core, coolant circulation pump, heat exchanger and all necessary hardware to complete the entire installation.

Other components include new fuel injectors, fuel rails, factory "push lock connectors" and regulator adapter. Computer programmer communicates with the factory ECU for proper calibration of the supercharger system. Transmission shift points, line pressures and converter strategies are optimized for use with the increase in torque and horsepower. Extended power train warranty is available for customer piece of mind.

Have a good day,
Tom

Either of the kits would work. The D-1SC would be a good choice with your long tubes and if you plan on doing any other mods like a head/cam upgrade in the future. Seeing that your tuning has been done with LS1 Edit I would go with a kit that doesn't include the hand held programmer. Info for the D-1SC system -

1GK201-SCI - 1997-2004 1997-2003 Intercooled serpentine race kit (specify LS1 or Z06) - 8# + of boost, 6 rib, twin highflow intercoolers and polished finish on the head unit. Requires larger injectors and programming (not included). Keying the crank is recommended if you are running a modified motor or boost levels above 7#.

ATI will no longer allow us to put low pricing in writing (even through e-mail) so you'll need to give us a call for pricing.
