770boy: This will mate up to the stock driveshaft.

AmMscl: That's ok... It may be $14,000. in sales but it's not $14,000. in profit. Strange sells these for $2349.99 and we don't have any problem selling them for our regular price of $2299.99. $2129. is a good deal that will only be around for a little less than two weeks if you decide to get in on it.

Have a good day,
Tom

Your offering these prices to anyone, so that means you have room(for a group) at a better rate!

Why is that?

We are a warehouse distributor for Strange and get the deepest discounts available. The price listed will be the same for 1 or 100 rears. You can save a little more $ if you would like to send in a certified bank check or money order. That can take another $50. off of the price.

Tom is always fair and one of our better sponsors. I believe if this is his best price, then that is it. Strange doesn't let 'em go cheap, so not much room for TB. The extra $50.00 off is a cool idea though with a money order.

Personally, I will have to wait. And I will be jealous of you all who ARE ordering through this GP. Starting tomorrow, I'm kicking the panhandlers off the street medians who are holding "Need Help, God Bless" signs with me holding my sign "Please Help, Need 12 Bolt."

Your crying over $30 bucks......... I dont get it. He said $50 off with cash. Tom has always steped up to try and make Us, the customer get awsome deals.

Tom, Since you are a warehouse distributor does that mean the rear will ship as soon as the order is placed? I wont be placing my order now(need to save a little more), but i will be calling when i do.

So it's only .0141% off of our price and you need 6 people? It sounded like you were trying for another two or three hundred dollars off. That would have been an additional 10-15% discount.

The Strange rears are made to order. Rears that are being built for an LS1 car will either require new brake backing plates or you can just send yours in before the rearend goes into production. If your car has traction control you will need to send in your axles so they can take the reluctors off. You midas well send the backing plates in too so you can save some $.

The backing plates can be purchased seperate so that wouldn't be a problem but Strange needs to take the traction control reluctor rings off of your axles so they have to be sent in. GM doesn't sell the reluctors seperate (that would make life alot easier) and the axles would be expensive to purchase seperate just for the rings. The only other way to keep your rear complete would be to purchase a set of backing plates and eliminate the traction control.

Either way when you receive the rear it would be ready to be slid under the car and bolted in.

Thanks...I guess I'll have to chew on that, unless I find appropriate used axels or relucters. I plan to keep my 10 bolt as it sits for re-installation later (30th TA).

You guys don't be so harsh on the price. I know what 12-bolts cost these vendors and they make far less margin on them than most of their other items. Moser, Strange, etc.. sell them pretty steep, even for distributors. Not much profit at all here. If Tom makes $50-100 each on a $2K item, I'd be surprised. These things also take longer to place the orders since each one is buyer-optioned specific.

That's so true. These rears are pretty much being given away with this pricing. There are just a few days left to take advantage of it. This offer will be ending on Friday (10/31).
