What brand filters are you offering at that price?

Now we're on to something!

OK do I hear someone with 8.99!

I am in no hurry (have about a month) and if I can see the best price here for 6, I will do my best to get a gen-u-ine GP of 60 together to see if we can beat THAT price!

Thanks!

Jon,
How about the K&N 2006. It's a little longer than the 1007. Thanks bud!

John02SS
2006's are in the same boat.

Anyone need a case of Royal Purple too? I can work the prices around more then. With oil filters the best I can do is free shipping when ordered in that quantity.

Tally, I have heard all this before, but can anyone (Patman or Bob) CONFIRM this with some facts?

Jon, to make it simpler, can YOU announce this GP on all your sponsored boards??

How were you thinking of doing this? Are you looking to purchase 6 filters at one time, or collectivly with others?

I am good for 6, even at the stated price - I was just hoping we could get a better price by getting 60 or more as a one time GP!

Anything but K&N. I had a very bad experience with one. I will never buy another one. The threads were buggered & almost cost me some engine rework. K&N wouldn't even answer my emails about it either. No, excuse me, they did answer. That's right, they asked me what brand of oil I was using!?

What u mean bad threads - Did you notice anything before you installed it? Not that I don't believe ya', but u sure you didn't cross thread it?

Regardless of what they asked about oil brand, how did you and they resolve it? Just curious, as unless there was obvious thread damage, a leak, or a gasket, baseplate, or media defect, it's hard to say they ALL are bad.

Please let us know!

I never said they were ALL bad. This was the 3rd filter of theirs I used. When I pulled it back off & looked at the threads, it was like they never ran the second threader thru that cleans up the threads or something (not sure of their process). They were rough, unfinished looking. The guy I talked to at K&N also thought I was to blame. As I would if I were him. But I've been working on cars for 35 years, so I am rather unlikely to make a rookie mistake like that. Not impossible, but unlikely.

I don't have a thread chaser that will fit in that area, so I ran the old filter on & off about 10 times to clean my oil filter stand threads up & it's "OK" now, tho I will always need to be careful with it. Every filter wants to take the bad route now!

So if you guys come up with a good performance filter other than K&N, I'm interested.
