AES Racing Engines FI Shortblock sale
We've worked with CP Pistons on a custom boost application piston for LS engines. Quite often the typical 408 engine is either too big for the head unit used (ie 76mm turbocharger or D1SC) or it leaves some dimensions of the piston to be desired.
Combining Callies C-Series 3.825" crankshaft, compstar H beam 6.125 rod with a 1.200" CH piston, gas nitrided top ring puts together great combination of parts.
Using 1.200" compression height we're able to put more strength into the ring lands also improve the skirt design.
These pistons include .180" wall thickness Chromoly piston pins package.
We still offer 408 boost engines, however this gives you another option.

What would be a good reccomended head for the 390ci? Im contemplating a procharger build and this would be a good starting point.

damm this would great if i had money, as this would turn out to be far cheaper even after converting to an LS and a D1 of F1, what is normal price of either of these shortblocks
