RPM Transmissions once again offering parts and labor rebuilds for T56 transmissions
#22
For a car with that power level that will see the track I would recommend a Level 5 build with the micro polish. This will get you all the upgraded parts to keep the transmission reliable along with the micro polish to help the trans run quieter, cooler and shift MUCH faster.
Just let me know if you have any more questions. I'd be happy to answer them.
Thanks!

Our Level 4 parts and labor build would be fine for your power level. Although the builds don't really require a certain power level to considered. If you are going to drive the car aggressively like drag racing, road racing or even racing in mexico I would like to see you shoot for the Level 5 build with the billet keys, bronze fork pads and upgraded 1-2 shift fork. This build is better suited for a performance driver who is driving their car to its full potential.
If you would like to stick with the Level 4 build it would be $675.00 plus and hard parts. The $675.00 only covers the upgrade parts and normal wear items. If your transmission needs a 2nd gear or 3rd gear it will be extra cost. We will not know what hard parts need replaced till the transmission is torn down and inspected.
The way the parts and labor build system works is we will have you strap your transmission to a pallet or put it in a large rubbermaid tub. Then call us and we will schedule a pickup or send you a shipping lable, whichever works best for you. Then once it gets here we will get the transmission torn down, cleaned up and inspected. My builder will then give me a list of the hard parts that need replaced. I will make you an itemized quote and email it to you with everything broken down. Then if it looks good to you we will go ahead with the rebuild. Durring the inspection we will also media blast your transmission case with glass bead, inspect the case for any cracks, damage or stripped threads. Once everything is repaired I will contact you for payment and we will ship the transmission back out to you.
If you have any questions at all please feel free to let me know.
Thanks much.

I've been told to check with you and see what your company can supply me.
I have a c4 corvette that is 350/700r4 that I am swapping an LS6/t56 into. The LS6 had no flywheel etc. So I need a complete fbody t56 w/bellhousing etc., and a clutch and flywheel that will work on the LS as well as a slave for the bellhousing. I've read good things about the LS7 fw/clutch so maybe that would be good for me.
The car will never see a track so I don't need anything special. But I do want all the synchros etc. to be in perfect working order and shift smooth and quietly. I am willing to consider a used one or a rebuilt one with a couple of reliability mods, but I do not need anything extreme. The LS6 is stock with 0.030" shaved heads, a 234/234 cam, and will have long tube headers so it should be making 450 or so at the wheels.

So I have a stock t56 from my 01 SS and I know it needs repair but I'm not sure how much repair.... and I'm just wondering what you would package rebuild you would recomend so I don't have to worry about the trans again for a long time. The trans pops out of every gear and grinds like a sob when it pops out. Clutch feels normal which is why I know its something internal. Any help you could provide would be amazing... I miss driving my car hahaha. Thanks in advance

Hey Jeremy do you guys have any sort of rebuild kit parts only??? I only ask because I live in Australia, I'm a mechanic so doing the labour myself won't be a problem, the car is a 04 commodore ( gto for you guys )

Hi!
I don't have a ready made "kit". I'm not a huge fan of kits because a lot of times you will either end needing more parts or end up with stuff you don't need. But I can get you any parts you need. I normally recommend tearing the trans down and making a list of everything you need. If you get me a list I will be happy to get you the parts you need.
