How well could a mail order tune be for a stroker engine(408 LQ4)? Just curious about idle and different rpms throughout the drive as well as WOT.
Not that you are terribly far from me if I had to drive there to have it dialed in.

On every mail order tune, no matter who does it you should check your WOT fuel with a wideband. All our mail order tunes are based off the thousands of cars we have tuned in person over the years so usually they are very close. However every vehicle is a little different so every now and then we do miss one and it wont idle good or have a driveability issue but we do free updates, just cover shipping. If you could drive here for a tune in person I always recommend that over mail order anyday. If you get a mail order tune and upgrade to a dyno tune we credit you $100 towards your dyno tune if its within 90 days.

I want to apologize to anyone who has tried contacting us through our contact form off our website. There was a problem from the last update and it quit forwarding the contact messages to our email. There were hundreds of message that I didn't receive until today once the error was fixed. I just wanted to post to apologize to anyone who contacted us and didn't get a response. The problem is now fixed and the contact form is working again.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Sounds like a great deal. My ECM is out of a 2002 Z28, but it is going in a 1969 Chevelle and I will eventually get the car tuned on a dyno but would like to get a tune first to fire it up and drive it around. Can you also tune for a 4L80E swap? I also own HP tuners but have never used it. Once I got the car up and running if it needed some adjustments could you just email me an updated tune to plug in instead of sending the ECM back?

If you mail in the computer initially I can set it up for the 4l80e using efi live. Once you receive the computer back you can download the tune out with hp tuners and license that tune. After that I can make changes through email with hp tuners. Thats the easiest way to do if your not familiar with hp tuners. It can be done without mailing in the computer but if your not careful you could end up burning an extra hp tuners license in the process. Feel free to give us a call if any that doesn't make sense.

What about mail order tunes from overseas? Seems about the only tuner over here does SD tunes only and is miles away from me & I've not had much luck trying elsewhere!

Not a problem, shipping is more obviously but not a problem at all. Depending on what your doing it may be better to purchase HPT or EFI Live so it can be done through email vs mailing the pcm. Shoot me an email info@lsxpowertuning with what you have and I can give you a couple different options.

Thanks

I already have EFI live! It's a full bolt on car right now but I have H/C to install which keeps getting put off!
I just want it running optimally until I can do that, I don't have a wide band though which I think you mentioned earlier in the thread.

If you already have EFI Live your good for tunes through email then. The only way to dial your air fuel at WOT is with a wideband though. I can probably get it close without it but its the worth the extra money to buy a wideband so you know for sure IMO. If you purchase the email tune with data logs, I'll send you some file for efi live to make your laptop match mine. Then it would be just like I was logging there in person, it will just take a little longer to do the tune since we will be emailing data logs and tunes back and forth. You can start the tune without a wideband and just do WOT once you get one if you wanted.

but im using a 2012 58x stock cam 4.8 with 317 heads. w the lpe converter box. is that a problem? and using a th400 for trans. going in a 02 Camaro w a tc78. I have no problem going to get dyno tuned but need base tune. plus I want sd tune.
