The Winner is ZAngel
Hi all,
As you see the winner is ZAngel !! We are shipping a 3" Street Strp Friday morning and can't wait to see the pics. We all had fun running the contest and to be honest glad it's over. The long hours that went into this is hard on us old guys
Some info, There were over 300 entries (3 with virus's) and more than 2,000 web site hits during the contest. 5 people decieded they would not win so they just went ahead and bought one. The farthest away (that I know of)was in Baghdad International Airport, Iraq. Love those guys over there
The response was great and I thank everyone for the kind comments in the mails.
As promised, I will post a special sale in a bit, so check back, not you Zangel, you're done

That and the fact that I was made a mod after I entered the contest I never win anything so I am still in shock.
Just coulda said "Thanks Frcefed"
I didn't mean anything by it and thought it was dripping with sarcasm. Sorry about the mod thing, I saw "the daisy duke director" under your title which is the same color as the rest of the mods screen names so hey 1+1. I'll just leave it to the Houston Associate Connection then
Next time I will put the [sarcasm][/sarcasm] thingys so you catch my drift.
Again Congrats

Actually, Winston became a sponsor in late 1971 but they couldn't change the name over until the next year. That is why they had their 33rd year anniversary this Jan. while ending their sponsorship Nextel picked up the sponsorship in Feb. (starting was Daytona 500)

I know this could probably be discussed forever, but...
What about 1964, then?

I'm definetely no NASCAR expert, so I have to rely on other people's help and that's what I found. Maybe that site is wrong, then...
The decision has been made and that's it. Better luck for me next time, I guess... And congrats Zangel!

Actually, 1964 is the first year that Richard Petty won a championship... not the first year of the Winston Cup. In 1964 the Nascar series was still known as the Grand National series. However, many people don't know anything prior to the Winston cup, so maybe that is why they printed it that way.
...and thank you!
Although many people don't like Nascar, I do. I can sit and watch the entire thing. I guess I enjoy turning left.
