I don't have access to the material but I could send a bunch of pics and videos of the read leather/double-white stitching in my car.
Not happy with my center console and would also love that button delete.

GM wasn't interested in putting the best materials into a lid because it would add to production cost. So, yes I would say better quality all the way around. Heavy duty? My 5 year old used the first one I ever made, as a step to get out of the back seat for 8 months. Never broke so, it should last a long time when used properly, like an armrest.

This is foamed before material. Fiberglassed the snot out of the back side.

I received mine and installed within 15 minutes of opening the package. It's an amazing look, and I actually do agree on the lack of the latch, it really classes it up! It's very light, so I find myself going easy on it as far as leaning or putting weight on it. But yes, an outstanding piece and well worth the money!
