A) I've done the ~2500 mile trip to Bowling Green and would do it again.
B) The longer the trip, the longer the event needs to be.
C) For me, people are the most part of the event. The activities are nice but I don't try for the awards.

A. I would need a little lead time to know about the event so that I could a) save for the products, b) save for the gas, c) put in for and take leave from my Battalion, d) save for hotel; that being said I think that 500-600 miles would be workable for me
B. I think a great 2 or 2 1/2 day thing would be awesome. Get there for a Fri night heads up racing contest making sure that there would be a sponsor/tuner class so we could see them right away and get us pumped for the next day of the show, maybe a meet and greet at a local banquet facility (1/2 day right there). Saturday have time to look and really talk to the product guys, have day races and a road course set up, watch some great power from the General (local SCCA would be awesome to have out there), antoher evening activity hosted by LS1Tech. Then Sunday a send off breakfast and more time to buy or talk with the techs at event.
C. Distance, how much real aftermarket support would be there are tied for my getting there

A. What is the longest distance you would drive to attend an LS1 event? (miles) depends on how the car is doing but most likely 600
B. Would a 2-day event/gathering be better for you vs a 1-day event?
I would enjoy a 2 day event
C. What would be the most important thing for you to attend an event?[/b]
Equal classes!! I don't want to be racing some tin bucket with a motor that has 3x the ci.

A) I would drive anywhere I could get in a full day of driving (Thunder shootout from michigan is probably a good limit and even a bit too far).
B) I would prefer a one day, then I can take minimal time off to attend. If you have too many two day events, it would be tough to get that many four day weekends off from work to race the whole series.
C) The most important thing to me would be to have a competetive class for a slower car. At N/S, you had to have a 10 sec car in all the classes, so everybody was in brackets. It would be nice to have indexes or more brackets.
I hope that helps!
