cannibal - unfortunately, not at this time.

action jack - with this system, you would need to fabricate the front pipes to the x-pipe to hook to your headers.

looking around and comparing some prices on a normal 3" single stainless catback. the borla retails for $813.99. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...&Ntt=bor-14780 then because the bassani replaces the stock y-pipe, it's only fair to add in the price for an aftermarket y-pipe. the slp is 199.95 http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31035
that's a total of $1014.00. the bassani tru-dual is on introductory pricing of $849.00.

Im concerned about the volume. I'm essentially decided on an SLP dual/dual, but I'd be inclined to purchase this instead if I thought it would be a reasonable volume with headers, ORY, etc.

are you wanting quieter or louder than the SLP? bassani always strive for being on the quiet side. there is a sound clip on the vinci webpage of my car. it's also on ls1sounds.com it's definately deeper and more bassy than stock. but really not much louder. i can easily hear the radio and have conversations inside the car. i'll be adding headers soon. then i'll get another sound clip up.

I dont expect it to be quieter than the SLP... that would be too quiet. The Dual/Dual is a seriously quiet exhaust for how well it flows. I want something quieter than my 4" mufflex, but something that flows as/almost as nicely.

Yeah... but it was hard to compare to other cars. You can never tell what the gain on the microphone/system is, etc. I tried listening to stock manifold cars with the D/D and the Bassani... I couldnt tell much. Anyways... It looks like ti will come down to what I can afford when. I'll let you know whenever I know something.

You mentioned on another post that you had gotten a true dual setup, but that Bassani thought it was too loud. Are these new ones different from the one that you put on your car?

no it's the same. vinci just got through installing the system on a 2001 convertible. they also installed jba headers at the same time. it had bad cats. so there was no before run.

just put another one on a 2000 TA with MAC headers and catted y-pipe. only had to weld the passenger side to the cat. the driver's side used the ball joint fitting that's on the cat and use the supplied ball flang that comes with the bassani dual system. going to try and have roger vinci take pics and post them up. even on the welding part, you could get a slip fit connector at a local parts store or exhaust shop and clamp it on.

Of note, the price quoted to me by Vinci's was not $849. Apparently we all missed to boat on the $849 price.

The system is now $949 plus shipping from Vinci's.

Secondly, Bassani now has the system in stock themselves, though they wont sell it to the public. This means that we can call other Bassani vendors and ask for a price drop shipped from the CA Bassani location. For those of us who live places like Oregon, this can mean alot of money saved.

I found a vendor who would sell me the system drop shipped from Bassani for $849 shipped to my door.

If any other vendor sells Bassani, they to can get one of these systems drop shipped as well.

I did not use a company that was a vendor, and per board policy, I will not post who it was. Anyone can PM me and we can discuss.

Just encouraging everyone to do their research and play sceptic the first time you hear anything. Just good consumer sense.

I'm not trying to imply anything about Vinci's. If I lived in Fla, I very well might be buying from them. I just live almost 3000 miles from Fla. I also would have respected this thread as only about Vinci's special deal... but apparently it's not still on, so...

BTW, for clarification;

is part number 5798RS-5

is part number 5798RD-5

According to Bassani, they both use the same muffler, and are both the same vendor cost. The RS-5 is available in stock... the RD-5 is a 7-10 day manufacturing window.

Thanks Visceral

I too thought the sale for 849.00 was still happening.

BTW I like how the RS-5 goes over each side of the axle. Wonder which is better for clearance issues?

Yeah...clearance is an issue for me. THe SS is built for road racing duty, so not only is it on the ground, but nothing underneath it is stock. Im just going to have to get out the die grinder, the welder, and the sawz-all again.

I ordered the RS-5.

Good to hear form you again. What happened to our forum?

ok the $849.00 is still happening. but, you have to buy in groups of five to get it. if you do not want to wait for people to get on the $100.00 discount and want it right away, then you pay the $949.00 and get it now. if you wait until five people get in on an order, then you get the $849.00 price.
