I personally own 3 of those detectors, and I love them. They have paid for themselves time and time again, as I tend to drive a bit "spiritedly".
Before I picked up the X50's, I had a V1, which wasn't a bad detector, just a bit bulky and didn't quite have the range or sensitivity that the X50 has. Everyone loves the arrow feature, but who cares what direction the signal is coming from? If the detector is going off, I'm going to slow down.
