If you would like one, it's better to place your order and get one locked in. These things tend to go very quickly once they come in. Sometimes, they are already presold before they even hit the showroom floor.

 

The X50 has saved me a couple of times with laser... Granted, I wasn't going that much above the speed limit when I got hit, but I had enough notice to slow it down enough that he let me ride right by.
I got hit once with laser, using my X50. He pulled me over, and the first thing he said was, "Between your laser detector and your brakes, you just saved alot of money". He was right... I was doing double the posted speed limit, and by time he locked it in, I was so hard on the brakes, that I was down to 24 over. So if you're hauling straight azz, you're still going to be in trouble. The laser warning only gives you about a second or so notice... unlike radar, that you can pick up a mile away.

If there is traffic, you can detect early laser. When I had my V1, I could see cars ahead getting popped (laser instant....pause.....laser instant....ect) and could slow down.
