How is the pedal pressure on these pressure plates compared to the Z06? Does the Stage III chatter on take-off for street use?

Have seen a little chatter on Stage III when VERY HOT, racing, hot lapping, ect. But a great clutch for every day use soft pedal, smooth action.

I see you have this listed as the flywheel is 150 extra. I thought these came with the spec clutches.

Last stage 3 carbon I bought it was included. now after 26000 miles it is slipping (mostly highway) only a handfull of launches on et streets too.

I guess thats what 550 rwtq will do to ya <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Guys, I suggest if your going to be putting some serious power through one of these, get 1 step higher than the recommended. Unless they have improved from the 1st gen's.

Not saying I wont buy another, but I dont have anywhere near the 650 rwhp of a stage 3 (only 525 or so), and I dont think it will hold.

My weight of car may be having something to do with it. 1.53 was the best 60 foot I got at 3850 raceweight. but the car almost didn't go into gear the whole way down the track.

My Stage III Carbon set up didn't last either. It barely lasted four (4) months w/a few 1/4 mile passes on ET Streets. It was nice at first, but as soon as you put the power to it, the clutch just gave up. We took the clutch out and the pressure plate and flywheel had blue heat spots all over it and deep cuts in the flywheel from the friction material coming off the pucks. Yep, the carbon pucks just fell apart and there was still a great deal of meat left on them, they just fell apart in chunks.

Personally I would never recommend their clutch/pressure plate. Waste of money in my opinion.

26,000 out of any clutch trying to hold 550 RWHP sounds pretty good to me. I have installed many of these cluthes without any problems. Our shop car has 20,000 and many slick launches on its Stage III and it has no issues. Even if you were to have a problem they are the best company to get something resolved. And yes it is a completly new setup and does not come with a flywheel the stock one should be in good enough shape to be cut and reused.
