Default Manual Rack GP

MADMAN has agreed to do a GP on his bolt in manual rack.

http://www.madmanandcoracing.com/manualrack.html

5 or more orders and the GP price will be $545.

There's already 1 order for sure, 2 more possibly.

If you're planning on it for the winter "diet" mod, get in on this <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Drop the ugly power steering pump, lines, cooler, and bolt in a lighter steering rack.

Not sure on a closing date, but let's see if there's even enough interest <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I will be in if the weight savings are good enough. How bad is it driving with that steering ratio manually?

I like mine.

Easier to steer than when running without the power steering belt. I forget the exact weight savings.

Did some digging in my email from back in May.

The weight savings is in the neighborhood of 20 lbs with all the pump stuff removed. Plus the short belt to go with it.

I believe Larry's K-member is from PA.

20 lbs is quite a nice savings. I bet it gives you a little more header room too! I will call MADMAN tomorrow and get some more info on it.

Am I understanding that this would come with the new belt since the P/S pump will be gone. That is one of the main pullies up top how will it re-route?

I'm game...per MADMAN himself, the rack itself is 6#'s lighter than a stock rack that's been bypassed. Obviously, more if you still have the pump, etc. on the car (not me). Take care. Dave
