Re: EastSide Performance Spec Sale
I got my Spec clutch kit today.
Is the LS1 kit suppose to come with a throw out bearing?

Re: EastSide Performance Spec Sale
How about the stage 4? Ive seen like 4 of the stage 3s break in our club One of the springs like to bust out of the housing and on one occasion, the clutch broke and did some engine damage (rear seal and some other stuff).

Re: EastSide Performance Spec Sale
Im looking to upgrade. Im a stock 2002 but will be changing later down the road. I do drag it now and will be adding slicks.
Was any price decided on a aluminum flywheel? Is that a bad idea for me? not needed now, in the future?
How streetable is the Stage 3?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I had a few concerns but they really worked with me to ensure i was completly satisfied. These guys are great to do business with and are extremely willing to give a helping hand if needed. Thanks again guys!! Steve

Re: EastSide Performance Spec Sale
Just installed the stage 2 yesterday, so far everythings feeling pretty good, shifts great, feels good, for anyone whos debating this clutch, it dosent feel too much different from stock, very streetable, no chatter or jerky engagements. Next time I think I'll get the stage 3. hope this helps

Re: EastSide Performance Spec Sale
Man these guys really take the time to discuss their clutch to you! I had alot of concerns about any clutch out there and wanted one that I will not have to worry about for a while..... I talked to Dave at Spec and to Ken and Guy as well. All were very respectfull of my concerns but put them at ease with a backed warrenty from Spec itself. Spec is out there to sell you an item that will hold up for your application not just to try and make another sale for a quick buck. I got everything from new Hyd.'s to a lightened pressure plate "saves 4 lbs." and an aluminun flywheel as well for a killer price. This clutch is 16 lbs. lighter then a stock unit and about 21 lbs over other units because they use a billet flywheel that is even heavier then a stock one to handle to additional abuse of their clutch.
Thanks

Re: EastSide Performance Spec Sale
Ordered my spec 3 ceramic set up today. Sure hope Ken wasn't being fibbed to about the daily driveability. I debated the Zo6 set up but it felt really soft to me. Someone else I know of was using the spec 3 ceramic disc with zo6 components- I wasn't sure how long that would hold up though. Anyone with the ceramic st3 as a daily driver let me know how yours is. Thanks for the help Ken. Hope you get your B/I with spec.

Ken put the spec stage 3 in my car and i drive it everyday no problems and i have the ceramic
it will chatter abit at first you kinda got to let it out quick it is kinda on/off till it breaks in after 500 break in miles do a few 3k dumps and the chatter will really calm down and you will not really notice any at all i have had mine in for 10 k miles
