Are you sure that the write up is about the exact same HUD unit ? It says that it only displays in KPH ? Like that would do us in the US of A any good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> If it won't display in MPH, then I'm out.

OK I am going t make some calls tommorow to get everything sorted out. Do we need a special glass, is it in KPH only, etc etc etc.

I serilously doubt it is KPH only. LPE wouldnt seel it if it was. I will find out for aure tommorrow.

Bill </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The one that the guy used in the review was the Defi VSD-II hud. This is the same unit that lpe sells. This unit DOES display in both MPH and KPH.

The guy stated that the Sports VSD has a better tach display, but that it only displays speed in KPH. That is why he didn't get that model. This is NOT the model that lpe sells. So, don't worry about it.

C5 hud windshields have a special coating of somesort that makes the window very expensive. Many people have installed hud on their non-factory hud cars that do not have the coating with no problem.

I miss my hud whenever I drive another car. There's nothing like running dark on all interior lighting at night with just the hud on.

I talked to Ed on friday and he said he was going to make a post, but I guess I will tell you what was said.

Ed is waiting for the head parts guy there to come up with the go/no go on this one. This part isnt an LPE specific part. He said if it was we would already have it on our cars. They have to order these things in. They just did an order and if everyone that said that they wanted one jumped right now they wouldnt have enough to fill all of the orders, even with what they have in stock and the ones they are getting shortly.

I'll call again on Monday and see if there has been any progress. I want one of these things BAD! I am guessing we are up to 14 people waiting now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> , they cant say no now!
