Re: MTI Tuning Group Purchase anyone?
what do u mean wideband would not be included
i'd be interested in doing it in about a month or so...not right away.
i have an extra computer that i want to start all over again. the current i have one was sent off to california and i don't think that it can be tuned right, even giving the mods without having the car there, esp w/the blower

Re: MTI Tuning Group Purchase anyone?
Wideband tuning is where they put a meter in your exhaust stream & take real time measurements. It helps you fine tune your fuel system & shows your air/fuel ratios if I'm not mistaken. I'm not expert on tuning. When you get wideband tuning it costs more. At MTI, the wideband they have requires you to weld an 02 bung some where up close to the engine I think. I've never seen their wideband. The one at Strictly Perfomance just goes in the tail pipe. But that's mostly a Mustang shop. I don't need wideband tuning yet, but with your blower it might be good to squeeze out all the ponies. I've heard people argue about the tailpipe ones & the ones that go closer to the engine but unless I had both done & got the same results I couldn't argue that either one was better.

Re: MTI Tuning Group Purchase anyone?
Ok... Are we talking about a mail order PCM tuning "GP" or something different here?
I live in Northern AL so driving my car down to Houston is not an option.

Re: MTI Tuning Group Purchase anyone?
I emailed Jayson and this includes mail order tuning for those who don't want to drive to Houston.
By the way thanks for the hook up MTI.

Regual tuning will be tweaked as needed for no additional charge but I'm sure you will need to make an appointment unless you just catch them in a lull.

I just dropped my car off at MTI about an hour ago to get the TB ported and polished, the adjustable master cylinder installed, and custom tuning from Jayson. Take good care of my baby!
Gotta love $350.00 lifetime tuning!

I'm not expecting any wonderous HP/TQ gains, just looking to get rid of all the codes so I can pass emmissions and to smooth out the idle a bit. Inspection sticker is due. But, if he can eke out a few more horses, all the better.
I'd be happy with ~370 rwhp on the stock heads and intake. Any more than that, and I'll fry the clutch and the stock 10-bolt.

Dyno results:
https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=19&t=003600
No codes, smoother idle, smooth acceleration. I'm definitely a happy camper. Thanks, Jayson!

Re: MTI Tuning Group Purchase anyone?
Just got back from MTI and let Jayson do his magic. First, I would like to give a big thank you to Chris, Jayson and the entire MTI staff. They are truly professional at what they do and great peoples on top of that! Thanks for the extra tuning time and effort Jayson. All of you make this an extremely fun hobby!
If anyone is interested in this deal, jump on board! Jayson spent a little more time to get some better numbers and pulled my car 3 times, cause he thought he could get some more out of it. Outstanding! This is a great deal.
Pulled 350.6 RWHP and 361.7 RWTQ before Tuning.
After 358.7 RWHP and 373.9 RWTQ!!!
Not bad for Bolt-on's Here comes the Heads and Cam!!!

Re: MTI Tuning Group Purchase anyone?
I also went by MTI today to get my tuning. I was going to wait to get it done after I got my gears put in, but I had some free time today & the rest of the week looks busy during the day & I'll be doing the gears at a friends house so we can do that in the evening sometime.
First of all, THANKS JAYSON! I really appreciate the time & effort you put into tuning my car. I'm VERY pleased with the tune! The car drives so much better now, you would think it was a different car. The most noticable gains would be the transmission shifting. It downshifts with almost no effort now, where as before I had to have it at WOT to get it to downshift. It's much smoother & it's like my car has been waken up. The other notable difference is the 17hp & 18ft lbs of torque that I gained!
Traffic was bad so I didn't get to play with it much on the way home. But from the times I could play a bit, I was all grins.
....again, thanks Jayson!
