I think the point is, if the price were more in line with what others ask for cams, the list would already be full, and this thread would be moot by now.

But I can't see paying more than $400 for a camshaft. Especially when I already have a decent cam.

Why hasn't anyone from LG replied to this thread? One would think think they would, since it is regarding their cam. And why won't they answer my damn e-mails!??? I'm practically begging them to take my money! Whats the deal?

Purchase a cam from a different vendor. I am sure a different vendor would be more than glad to help you out.

If you have a question for Lou, you need to call him. I used to try posting questions but he doesn't sit around and surf the boards all day. He said he would do 5% if we fell short of 10. I would rather have 10%, but I really want this cam and I guess it comes down to how bad people want to put down 400+ rwhp with just a cam and bolt-ons.

*In my opinion* I think it's a fair deal. I actually had a short conversation with Lou about the price and his stance on discounts. I think people fail to realize how much money it takes to run and maintain an operation like LG. Look at Lingenfelter, their prices aren't bargain basement and people buy their stuff. I realize that in terms of a cam, specs are all that matters and the quality of cams is about the same in terms of materials used to make em. However, when it comes to things like suspension components all things are not equal. This may hold no relation, but based on my experience with LG suspension, my loyalty lies in their products. Is LG the cheapest vendor around? Hell no! Customer service, knowledge, r&d, and quality are all things that need to be weighed in a decision like this. *In my opinion*

I can't believe some of you guys. Bitching about this cam being a few bucks over other vendors cams. Its not like its A LOT more! Antway, you get what you pay for. I havn't seen these other cams making the power this one is on stock heads, consistantly!

If some more of you that showed an interest would step up to the plate and get in on this, and we got the 10 people we need, than the price would only be $809.10! Thats right on target with other vendors prices for what we are getting.

I agree with MOBE, I'm shocked that more people aren't jumping on this. When it was first released, everyone pissed and moaned that it had to be installed in house @ LGM. They all said they would buy it if they could install it themselves. Now, it's not only sold outright, but at a discount! Come on guys! MSUC5VETTE and I ordered ours tonight and Tom (MSUC5VETTE) talked to Lou about headers for his car among some other things for almost 35 minutes. Tom only bought the G5X2 and a pulley but it just goes to show how far Lou is willing to go for his customers. I guess I'm missing something.

I want to purchase it, BUT I don't want to change my springs/retainers again (I just put them in). Can I get away with the 918's, titanium retainers, and hardened pushrods I currently run??????

Thanks
Sean

I don't think he will extend it but it's always worth asking. As for pushrod size, you've gotta call Lou for sure and tell him about your setup so he can determine if it will be ok.
