I've only got 2 emails so far. I see a lot of talk here but no confirmations.
I need an email with a real name and contact info to make this happen.

What type of flywheel comes with the kit, a stock one or billet steel?
Where from Texas will they be shipped?

I dont see where your email address is, I think you should edit the first post and include the info about the GP, when they will be shipped after you have 10 buyers, instructions for "signing up", your email address, and the allready included list of parts.

thanks

i need a clutch, i may be in, i have the money, just a matter of getting some questions answered. is this just as easy to put in as a reg clutch? also the flywheel, whats it made of? billet? or heavy a$$ kind. what if joe blow put this in his car and has it crap on him in 5000miles, what will customer service be like? spec is known to supply new clutches for ones that dont last as long as they should..i only plan on running 420 to the wheels so its not like captain insano power or anyting..ya i said captain insano

If it is balanced with the flywheel as one and you sepparate it without marking where the pressure plate lined up with which hole you will loose balancing, but if you mark hole to hole you shouldnt, you will have to sepperate it to fit the flywheel but just mark the bolts so when you bolt the pressure back up it will be in the same position.

heres a question:

the aussie clutch uses a OEM flywheel.... mines fine.
it uses a OEM master cyl... mines brand new.
it uses a OEM slave cyl.. mines also new (and the newer upgraded style.)

all i need is a balanced flexplate and the disc.... how much for JUST that?

I just posted in the manual section...
They say they only sell as a kit because they want to have a consistant setup, so if people have problems they know whats wrong.

So why does the distributer seprately balance the FW and PP so you can "safely" swap the flywheel later?

Its recomended you get a new flywheel when you buy a new clutch, I would buy one anyway...
If the flywheel was a high performance type I wouldnt think twice about buying it with the kit, but this kit comes with a stock OEM flywheel. Hopefully there is a reason

i get why hes balancing it...

for the exact reason you ended your post with... so that we can get a aftermarket billet or otherwise lightweight flywheel, and still use the clutch.

heres all i want:
cheap clutch
daily drivable
launchable on slicks with occasional shot of nitrous.. im nowhere near its limits.. just a 224/228 cam. i dont even have a nitrous kit (yet)

im a "old school" guy.
a clutch is like a brake lining... warranty? short of it blowing apart and fragging the car (who said spec!? i didnt say spec...) i dont expect any re-embursement for it slipping with 1500 miles on it... that just means i screwed up the install somewhere.

i just need the disc and pressure plate... how much?

yeah, it would be nice to save $200-$300 on this kit (not to mention shipping) by eliminating the flywheel and slave.

Textralia will only sell them as a unit. I can't buy the parts separately.
I started having them double balanced just to ensure everything was perfect when I did an install. I didn't really intend on selling a bunch on the Forums.
The way they come from Textralia is just fine.
All my contact info is on my website. I'll add it to my sig.
It's funny, all this talk on the Forum and hardly anybody has actually contacted me about this. If you want info, you really have to call or email me. I just don't have the time to go to all the various forums every day. Questions here may go unanswered for a couple of days due to that.

Hmmm, I dont mind getting it all for the initial purchase, but I dont like the idea of having to buy the whole package the second or especially the third time around, rather than just pressure plate and disc. I wonder if there are any plans to change this in the future.

I hear it's an O.E.M. but which?

I'd also like to know what it weighs (since there are different OEM FW's with different weights).
