Question, how long will snell M2000 helmets be legal at the track as opposed to SA 2000?

I'm really starting to favor that g-force grafix helmet but it's M2000.

I'm DEFINITELY getting a helmet. I just know the SA-2000's are higher rated. But I like that force-1 grafix helmet alot more than the white RCI. How long will M2000 get me through tech at the track?

im in on the G force grafix also. i too would like to know about how long the certification will be good for. im not sure on size yet

 

id also be in for a nice helmet. prob the graphics one also, but not if its not going to be good in like a year or two. also, TIM, im local in royal oak. there has been some stuff i wanted to stop buy and buy, but everytime i call no one answers and its like ead is gone. i dont want to drive out there for nothing. why dont you ever answer the phone???

I called the track, they said the number is what's important. Not the letter in front. Snell 90 is still good so anything 2000 will be good for a while. They also said lots of people use M2000 helmets.

I probably will post my order tomorrow. Need to confirm that my head is still size 7 1/4.

 

I sent the list of orders to the distributor. Just waiting on them to get back to me with prices. We're leaving for the Power Tour tomorrow morning but we should have internet access at some of the hotels so I will keep this updated as often as I can.

Yeah, I'm so jealous I cant hit the IL to IN leg of Power Tour. I changed jobs and am not going to take time off this soon. Hopefully he'll hit the net at one of the hotels.

 

Could be worse, your job could prevent you from attending, AND you could be faced with $1800 Shipping from Hawaii to CA and return....I chose some good old family time over the *** kicking I'd get putting my car on the boat to attend. Tim, have fun and update when available.

 

1800 bones is rough, I bet you hate it everytime you have to pay shipping on ANYTHING! Then you walk outside. . .

If this GP isn't going to work out, let us know so I can get a helmet somewhere else, I thought we were going to have prices over a week ago & I need a helmet soon?
