ported coated oil pumps?
Any sponsors have any ported and coated ls1/ls6 oil pumps? I was going to get one from APE, but we all know how that went.

Yeah, I ported and polished 3 pumps and was going to have them coat them for me. Too bad, they only quoted $40 each to coat them.
I was about to list my two of the pumps on ebay. You can see the before (first pic) and after of the outlets and inlet(last pic). The other two pumps are 1998 & 1999 pumps. The third, which I am putting in my 396 was a 2001.
I compared every dimension between the pumps and everything was identical. The only thing I didn't check was spring pressure. The 98 spring "felt"a slight bit lighter to compress. I'd like to check them with a spring pressure tester to see what the differences are. I've shimmed all the springs .100". One LS1tech member told me that the rotor inside was made of different material in the earlier pumps, but I dont know if this is true. Worse case, take the rotor out of your pump and put it in on of these (they measure the same) or port it yourself, its not that hard.
