Cheapest Pacesetters

Cheapest Pacesetters
I have a 98 T/A and I am putting headers on it. I think I'll be going with pacesetter. I need to find the cheapest price on them. I think I'll go with coated but is there really a difference in performance?? if not i might just go with painted, because from what I hear the coating falls off after not too long anyway, what do you guys think??

stick with coated. uncoated headers seem to rust just by breathing on them. check with speed engineering - i think they are having a sale on them. I got mine at a real good price when they had them on sale the last time. TSP also has good pricing on pacesetters

TSP is the cheapest right now. $285 painted and $380ish coated.
I know everyone likes coated, but me personally, I'd spend the extra $100 on something else, unless you've just got $$$ like that. I've had so many cars with uncoated headers that it's not funny. Never had any rust problems/etc.
They may keep the underhood temps a few * cooler, but IMHO it's not worth it...

I have went through a couple sets of headers. I now have flowtech headers and they arent coated. They work great for me and havent had any problems either! I also tried pacesetter headers coated and after a couple months and about 3k miles i already started to get rust spots. Pacesetter headers are good and not any better or worse than flowtech in my mind.
But in conclusion I'd just get them painted and maybe spend 20 bucks on ceramic paint or header wrap and keep the heat down that way!
Where u located, If in IL or someplace close Speed Inc will match about any GP price out there! TSP is good as well! Great service and quick shipping for both companies!

go for uncoated if you want rusted metal tubes in your engine bay, otherwise get coated. personally, i'm not a rich guy, and i will only buy stainless steel headers and catbacks. hence why i run Kooks/GMMG. Gotta pay to play.
