I got my pads today FedEx overnight. Thanks Brian.

Here are some install pics :

The rotors and pads look nice, good quality and a great price. I'd order them again, we'll see how they hold up - and they come with a warranty too which is nice. Although there have been some mixups with shipping, Brian has been good with communication and followup. ...as a bonus I live closeby and everything arrived very quickly !

Cheers !

Anyway, it took me over a month to finally get the rotors in; apparently, there was an issue with FedEx, and my first set of rotors were lost in transit. I spoke to Linda, and she was completely understanding, and had another set shipped out to me.

I've had the rotors on the car for about 5 months, and almost 5,000 miles. I installed them along with Raybestos Quiet Stop ceramic pads. Spent the first couple hundred miles making very easy stops, breaking the rotors in. Once I had a couple hundred miles on them, I went out to the highway and did 3 successive stops each from about 45, 60, and 75 (I used the break-in procedure that Baer suggests).

Stopping performance is great; they're a HUGE improvment over my warped, factory rotors. I'm sure they would perform even better with more aggressive pads like Hawk pads, but i'll sacrifice a little bit of stopping power for pads that produce little to no dust.

The only complaint I have of these rotors is the zinc plating; the plating's already worn away, so the rotors rust whenever it rains or I wash the car. I'm not sure how durable similar plating is on more expensive setups like Baer or Eradispeed, but it's only a minor inconvenience for the performance I got for the price. I've also noticed that they'll begin to face after a few successive hard stops, but the pads are probably more to blame than the rotors.

Overall, despite the shipping issues and zinc plating, i'm very pleased with these, and would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a decent improvement over stock for a great price.

-Chris

Wholesale Direct-Any comment on the zinc plating durability???

I'm thinking he's talking about where the pads contact the rotor (and not the plating on the rotor hub).

The zinc coating will wear off quickly where the pads come in contact with the rotor - all rotors rust in that contact patch when you wash the car or when it rains - a couple of quick stops scrubs the surface rust right off.

The palting Is guranteed for one year but the set I have on my suburban Is 3 years with no rust. This Is military zinc very strong maybe the guy with the rust put some chemical or something on there. We never had complaints before. Hope this helps. B

Actually, you're right; the only place rusting is that area. I guess it makes sense that the pads would rub that right off. Otherwise, the rest of the rotor, both on the hub and within the vanes, is holding off just fine. I'll edit my previous post, I don't want to accidentaly spread false information about a good product.
