Billy, thanks a lot for hooking me up. Between you and Gunnar, really great service at a great price, and thanks for having the LT1 set drop shipped straight to me.
One note: When using the LT1 Patriot Gold spring set with valves (like my Manleys) that have a .250 tip length, and have been tipped once or twice, you may find a need to use minus .050 locks (-.050). This is particularly true if you are using self-aligning rocker arms like the Crane Golds, or probably ANY rocker arm that does not have the roller tip fully exposed. I found I had to swap locks in order to prevent the roller rockers from hitting the retainers through the full range of motion. -.050 locks did the trick though. I honestly don't think I'd have had enough clearance even if I was using new valves that had never been tipped at all.
And FWIW... lash caps were considered, but will NOT fit inside the tip of the rocker, so that is NOT a solution.
I'll try to get a picture before I button it up.

You could rev that high if you want to. Do you have enough cam to make power up there?
