Billium- They can be clamped, but they don't come shipped with the flare that lets you slip it over the stock/aftermarket pipe that was cut to recieve the tips.
The muffler shop puts the inlet into an expander machine for a split second. You can rent a manual expander from Autozone that uses a ratchet and it will flare out the tip and then you can use stainless clamps once the tips is slipped on.
I'd just pay a muffler shop $40 to take care of it in 1/2 hour.
p.s. Billium, I wanted yourengine bay on the site, but web-dude didn't add all the ones I submitted. There's a lot of content missing. I'll get you added soon. ~Joshua

It should cost about $40 to install them normally. ~Joshua

I just welded on these exact tips that I got from Firehawk608 at the shop I work at this past Saturday. No, they're not wide enough to slip over a hooker catback. I was too afraid of splitting the tip by expanding it, so I just tacked it on and positioned them right for a final weld. Just get a muffler shop to do it and make sure they do a good job.

^^^ Hey there bro!
The tips won't slip over any pipe as shipped. They don't have the "flare" as shipped. A muffler shop has to put it in the expander for a slit second which creates the flare that allows it to slip over any type of pipe.
I would recommend anyone have a muffler shop take care of it all in about 1/2 hour. ~Joshua

I'm in for a set if this is still going....
Josh - I'm assuming they will work on a GMMG if welded, but do you think they could be flared enough to be installed as slip/clamp on? I'd like to be able to swap between my GMMG Oval Tips and these if I want.

Yeah, what is the exact ID of these, they are nice.
Only the tips are chrome plated not the whole piece, correct? Could you show a pic with a mark on it of how far the chrome goes up the tip.
