Default PBR Metal Master front brake pads

98-02 LS1 front brakes only....

Normally $67.50--on sale for $59.99 a set through next Friday (1/26).

PBR is an Australian company, and they just so happen to have made the brake calipers on many GM cars, including the the C4, C5, and C6 Corvettes (including the Z06), 4th gen f-bodies (rears on '93-97, front and rear on 98-02's).

These are semi-metallic pads that work very well for hard street use. The PBR's have very good fade resistance. They work when cold, and wet, and have better bite than stock or parts store replacement pads. Actually in all they work very much the same as the Hawk HPS, with slightly different pedal feel.

If you need some front pads, and you just want a good all around pad you can trust when driving hard, but also works on your daily commute and won't destroy your rotors, the PBR's are an excellent choice.

If these go on the front, what do you recommend for the rear?

Dusting is not bad at all. Some light gray dust that is easily removed (not sticky where a lot of scrubbing is needed). I won't say they don't dust at all, but these are very popular upgrades for BMW's and Mercedes (ever notice how dirty their front wheels get?).

And I generally use the HPS in the rear as they are so similar in performance. They are $71.

The PBR's are only for the F-body caliper, not the C5. But we have plenty of options there as well.
