Are the XS headers the ones we're mainly talking about in this thread or is there a variation of it? I don't remember hearing of an XS name.

When do you estimate having stock again?

Would having a set custom made be cost prohibitive?

I would like to get a set that are 3 inches shorter from top to bottom. On a normal car those collectors would hit the floor, but I plan to cut the floor and make tunnels so they will tuck nice and high. I doubt anyone else would want a set of these so I'm thinking they would have to be custom made.

Another thought, do you think a welding shop would be able to cut each primary tube, shorten it, bend them to line back up and then weld them back together? I'm thinking that might be the most cost effective thing for me to do. Assuming it's possible.
Anyone know?

OOooo, here's a pretty crazy idea. Heat the headers up with a cherry type tip to get them nice and red in the middle area and then use a hydraulic press to squish them down slowly. I'd have to do some test fitting to figure out where exactly to lay on the heat so it will still clear everything, but it just might work. It may also be a good excuse to get a tubular K-member for the extra header room. Does that sound like a better solution?
