We now have 3 different configurations of ls adapter plates in stock for sale at carshopinc.com!
This pic goes from top to bottom......
The top mount sets the motor back one inch further than the original ls conversion plates pictured in the middle.....
This is the one inch setback mount sale price of 49.95
Standard ls1 adapter plates 39.95
Bottom plate mounts engine forward 2 3/4 inches from original location and middle mount... Used best in 63-82 corvettes

With all of the ls1 swaps we have done as of late, I would suggest mounting the engine as far back as possible to help with oil pan clearance issues.
But it is a fine line trade off, the further you mount a engine rearward the bigger the front accessory drive issue becomes. In our chevelle we had to move the engine forward by using our standard plates in order for the ac compressor to fit the chassis, this required a aftermarket pan and frame notching in order to fit the engine.

I sent a pm to also talk about my upcomming third gen swap.....
I Have not tried these mounts in a third gen chassis and I bought the spohn mounts for it long ago and will be using those since I have them..... I will see if I can mock it up with our stocking mounts and keep you guys updated. as to how they work and fit with my conversion.

Nice looking mounts.
Im my opinion, in thirdgens, the spohn mounts have the motor positioned just right (front to back). There isnt much room behind my motor. Plus there are sending units back there, and the main wiring harness goes back there. Most of us just clearance the k-member a bit to clear the pan.
Plus, if you want to keep the LS1 a/c compressor, you'd then have to make the notch even deeper into the k-member.
Those mounts look really good though, and if you had a set that bolted right up to a thirdgen k-member and put the motor about where it is stock in a thirdgen, ide be all over them.

Whats a good mount to run in a 70 Camaro with a 98-02 Fbody pan? Im looking for something I will not have to mod my oil pan or member. I will have a TH350 for a tranny, want something that will take the least amount of fabbing or cutting.

Unfortunatly I think you may have to mod one or the other to complete this conversion. I would try to use the 1 inch setback plates but doing this will not allow you to run the stock ac compressor. Doing this should get you as much pan clearance as possible but minimize your block/head to the firewall and such...

Do you have any install pics of LS1 in a C3? Do these plates come with the urathane mounts? will these mounts allow A/C if so with which acc. brackets? I need some for my '77 C3 project..

We mocked up the mounts in a 70 chassis today.... These mounts work in 63-82 corvettes as they all used the same frame... Here are a few pics of the chassi and we even found a set of shorty headers that will work great for this application. we measure out for heater and ac box clearance and it all seems like its going to work good. As for the ac compressor and brackets I would suggest somthing in a high mount configuration as it seems a bit tight down low. I did not have any accesories to mount at this time with me......
