Does anyone make a dual battery kit so I can run two batteries in my 01 ws6. Any sponsors that can help??

The Project

All you need is a battery isolator so the alternator can charge each battery
(seperately) as need be. The isolator acts like a switch telling the alternator which battery needs charging. Any stereo shop should be able to get you one.

YOu can wire it up so that when the motor is off, the system runs off one battery so that way you can still start the car.

I have searched and searched. Someone on here a long time ago had two full size batteries under the hood one on left and one on right. Trying to find pics. Or how he did it.

+1 if you need more amps get a gel cell battery like an optima or die hard platinum. the only vehicles that require 2 batteries are the big chevy and ford diesel trucks

have a k40 radar detector and full difuser front and rear. 2 amps, two tv's, sts kit and there wiring harness draws, it sucks, oil pump, two heavy duty rad fans, and thinking about putting small fan on an oil cooler

just as a thought you should look into a yellow optima. i have heard they are used by audio enthusiasts in auto shows. might be a much easier route to go.

There is a company called Hellroaring Technologies which sells (makes?) dual battery isolators and combiners. There website features schematics for different applications from back-up starting to running a lot of accessories from a deep cycle battery.
