Default Heated Seats?

The cheap GM leather on my seats is getting quite worn so I'm planning to get them re-upholstered sometime soon. It occurred to me that this would be the perfect time to install heat in the seats. Does anyone have any experience with the available kits? Any recommendations or ones to avoid?

Probably have to find or add a dedicated circuit as I know heated seats draw a lot of amperage.

Actually they draw a maximum of 10 amps per seat when set on high. I almost never have a passenger in the car and I can't remember the last time I moved the power seat so I figured I'd tap into the existing 30-amp seat/defog circuit. There should be enough capacity to run the one seat heater and possibly the rear defogger without overloading the circuit. I might tap the passenger seat heater into the 30-amp power windows circuit since it would be used so infrequently.

Not usually but this year we had three straight months of overnight lows at or near freezing and highs only in the 50s. And even in a normal year we have at least a dozen freezing nights in January and February. I figure my blood has thinned in the 20 years since I moved here (not to mention getting older) so it might be worth a couple hundred bucks.
