If it's before you open a door, that's normal. It's called retained accessory power (RAP) and it keeps the radio and windows active after the ignition is shut off for about 10 minutes or until a door is opened.

If it's still powered after that time then you probably have a BCM problem unless a previous owner might have been messing with the wiring. If it stays on after opening a door but shuts off after about 10 minutes then you probably have a door switch problem.

Do your interior courtesy lights work properly with the doors? Does opening the passenger door make the radio shut off? Does the radio eventually (after about 10-15 minutes) shut off by itself?

The answers to these questions will help narrow down the problem to one or the other door switches or possibly the body control module.

Yes the courtesy lights work with openeing and closing the doors. No i have to manually shut the radio off. And no opening the passenger door does not cut radio off.

I have an aftermarket radio installed. Another issue I noticed is that while im receiving constant poer to turn my radio off and on, and move the windows, the radio does not receive power to store times.

Your symptoms sound exactly like you have the constant (battery) power and the ignition switched power wires reversed in the head unit connection - the radio stays on all the time but the clock doesn't keep time if the ignition is off.

In an aftermarket HU harness, red is ignition switched power, yellow is constant power. In the factory harness, yellow is ignition switched power and orange is constant power. I suspect whoever installed the HU didn't use a harness adapter and just spliced into the factory wiring using the wrong combination of wires.

Makes sense for the radio. Thanks, any idea on the windows being operated on battery power?
