Default 2012 Ford Fusion AC issue

Car blows hot air. Changed the Acculator (Hot cold) under dash and no change. Unplugged hot and blows cold. Mechanic says BCM needs replacing . Dealorship issue. Will a preprogrammed used BCM work without dealer programming

Perhaps you might have better luck asking on a Ford forum such as www.fordfusionforum.com or www.fordfusion.org. This is a General Motors forum so any discussions about BCMs here are not related to your vehicle.

If you replaced the blend door actuator, there is a learn procedure involved for that. The BCM should not need replaced. The dealer is just trying to get you to buy one. I dont remember what the procedure is, but i know there is one. I believe you have to remove a fuse, key on, key off type of thing. It has to learn its position.
